Particularly creative programs for an audience worldwide instead of a cancellation of the festival: There is no better way to react to Covid-19 than the organizers of the famous Würzburg music festival “Mozartfest”. Numerous live streams and programs for “very real” audiences: from June 9th to 27th, 2020 you are invited to enjoy music and social discourse. The piano manufacturer Steingraeber & Söhne is instrument partner of the festival.

Udo Steingraeber, owner of the piano manufactory, says: “Too often, all those involved in the cultural world have been overlooked when it comes to measures to cope with the crisis; we have often been too quiet in the past few weeks. Let us look forward to the countermeasures taken by the Würzburg Festival – and their imitators! ”

Steingraeber himself starts his own series of events in Bayreuth again: with a concert “Young master pianists from the Weimar Academy of Music” on June 25, 2020.

The Würzburg concert programs focus on those works by Beethoven that audibly rub against his models. Top ensembles and international top-class soloists have engaged in the topic with energy and curiosity. They explore the where and where of composers, works and musical forms of thought in 74 events at 26 venues in multi-string and rich programs.
